Unity, Hospitality, and Friendship

God was so good on this mission trip in so many ways! First, the unity that I saw amongst the churches in wanting to reach their neighbors, parents, siblings, and friends was so encouraging. There was unity in how the churches we went to communicated with each other about how they could strategically reach those around them. Second, and probably most surprising, was the hospitality that the churches provided to us. Dialing down the spice level, setting up speakers, mics, slides, etc for us without asking if we needed it, and providing water bottles for us to drink since we couldn’t drink the tap water. Even though these were simple things, they allowed our serving them to go smoothly. Third, the friendship that every person we met extended to us encouraged everyone on the team. I will never forget how I connected with a young man there who was getting up at 4 am to do online Bible college. This friendship has continued with him and I texting and encouraging each other almost everyday. I would like to thank everyone who supported me on this trip both financially and prayerfully. I pray that God would continue to use these short term missions to bring his kingdom to the dark regions of this world!
