Hi everyone! I want to thank you all for all your prayerful/financial support throughout the South Asia mission trip journey and share an update with you.
While my intentions were to make it to South Asia, plans/things changed due to an unexpected health issue at the airport that resulted in my exiting the plane. It was truly devastating for me to process as I wanted nothing more than to share what the Lord had on my heart for the folks in South Asia. So as the week went on while the team was there, I processed through what happened and prayed; I prayed for the team/trip mostly, but I also prayed that the message the Lord had in store would still find its way there. After what felt like the enemies defeat, was quickly followed by the Lords redemption! One of the trip leaders reached out and asked if I could make a video of my testimony/content for the trip and send it over to be played at the retreat we were speaking at! And after everything went well and the video was shared to all the folks there, the Lords redemption over what happened was so evident to me. What the enemy intended for such evil, the Lord used in such a mighty and good way!
And while I was still processing through what had happened, my community at Carmel was there for me in such huge ways: they welcomed me into their homes with open arms to talk/grieve with me, they sent me encouragement via text/mail, etc. While this was such an encouragement to me seeing how blessed I am to be loved by my community, it testified a greater story to my unbelieving family/friends of how the body of Christ lifts you up and bears your burdens with you.
So while I still process/grieve not going on the trip, I can see the Lords redemption in it! This is definitely not the testimony I expected to share with you all but I pray we can all rejoice over the goodness that still was, despite an unexpected turn of events!
