This trip was very fulfilling and I learned much about God and what He is doing in South East Asia. It was a true joy to be able to take part and serve on this team. We went to a handful of different churches and ministries in the city and were able to serve and encourage the people while they also served and encouraged our whole team. One of the amazing things I learned was the intricate way in which God calls each one of us on such a trip to serve in specific ways. Each team member is chosen and God uses our stories and past experiences so that we can share with and relate to others who have been through similar situations. At the all-day retreat, I was able to share my story related to social media and it was so encouraging to hear some of the other stories that the young adults had experienced. I never thought that I would be in another country to share my story and connect with others in this amazing gospel-centered way. Through my testimony, I shared the gospel and spoke about the importance of finding our identity in Christ and not in the things of this world including social media. Overall, it was incredibly uplifting to get to share with the students and young adults and I learned that God perfectly uses our past stories in amazing ways for our ultimate good and for His glory alone!
